April fools!

A chicken and a pig are walking down the road.

The chicken looks at the pig and says, "Hey, let’s open a restaurant together."

After a moment, the pig says, "Good idea. What should we call it?"

The chicken thinks about it and says, "Why don't we call it 'Ham and Eggs'?"

"Mmmm, I don't think so," says the pig. "I'd be committed, but you'd only be involved."

This joke reminds me of some news that almost feels like an April Fool’s prank: that eggs, once good for you, are bad for you again.

Sigh. I don’t know how rigorous the study was, but I love eggs for a quick source of protein! Don’t you find the back and forth on diet exhausting and totally counterproductive?

I try to tune it out and instead live by Micheal Pollan’s adage, “Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants.”
